the system viewed from the sweet spot
The huge 65 kilograms Verdier turntable is fixed on the left wall. The motor is also wall mounted and drives the heavy platter by a magnetic tape. The black boxes under the turntable are the RIAA Kaneda preamplifier and its supply (passive CLC +/- 35 volts supply, weight = 40 kilograms). In the middle of the picture is a Philips CDR765 CD recorder used to record compilations from CDs or old vinyl records. On top of the CD recorder is a Philips CD723 CD player, to experiment tweaking...In the half part on the right side of the picture you can see the 3 ways loudspeakers. Between them is the Sony CD77ES CD player on the top of which is the passive preamplifier. At the rear are the 3 home made amplifiers. The headphone Sony CDR3000 can be seen on the top of its box on the left of the Sony CD player . Not visible on the picture is the digital crossover BSS FDS388. Its fan was too much noisy so I put it in a wardrob inside my bedroom. Each of the cables (Gotham Gac3) linking the crossover to the preamplifier and to the amplifiers are 10 meters length, they pass through 2 walls and the bathroom.
