d q q q q q q q q q q q Odyofilya SokaklarI or "The Streets of Audiophilia" q q q "Odyofilya SokaklarI" (meaning "The Streets of Audiophilia") was the name of my radio program which took place every Saturday @ 20:00h on Acik Radyo - 94.9 between 4 November 2000 - 26 April 2003. q q Listen to the program's jingle (mp3) q q q q q q q The CD's of "Odyofilya SokaklarI": 2 November 2002 - 26 April 2003 4 May 2002 - 26 October 2002 3 November 2001 - 27 April 2002 5 May 2001 - 27 October 2001 4 November 2000 - 28 April 2001 q Program's theme was: Odyofilya (or Audiophilia) is the name of the virtual city-size-country (like Monaco or Liechtenstein) populated mostly by audiophiles. I use "mostly" instead of "100%" because some of them are married.... On the Streets of Audiophilia, as you may well guess, the majority of the shops are specialized on audiophile quality CD's and LP's. By audiophile quality I mean the ones with outstanding recording quality. I am one of the citizens of Audiophilia and I often go shopping on its streets. I happen to know that audiophile quality recording does not always mean good music. So, what I systematically try to do is to discover the ones with musical substance (of course this judgement is very subjective) and eliminate all others which can only be used as frequency generators to evaluate a system's performance. Good music combined with outstanding recording is the dream of every music lover (audiophile or not) and such CD's were on Acik Radyo every Saturday @ 20:00h (or 18:00h GMT).   q q q q q q q q q Home q q q
