Nejat is one of the ex-Presidents (1995-96) of Istanbul Hi Fi Club. Despite his protests I call him "Mr. Golden Ear".  His ears are so precisely tuned to the true timbers of most acoustic instruments that he can almost immediately pinpoint any modicum coloration. The right channel picture of this nearly perfect instrument is displayed at the bottom left.

His obsession for neutrality is forcing him to listen to monitor quality speakers: Spendor SP2/2. Although his wife, Julide, is very tolerant with his hobby and his system has a high WAF, Nejat recently relocated them to his basement for more privacy and more comfortable (!) listening levels.

Nejat mostly listens  to classical music and still prefers the sound of LP's to CD's.

Nejat's comments about his System:

AA: "Nejat, how would you describe your system's sound?"
NB: "It is natural and has a very good tonal balance."
AA: "Do you think there is room for improvement?"
NB: "Yes, the frequency range extension to both extremes could be improved. Also I would wish to enlarge the sound stage without enlarging the instrument sizes and keep the instruments as big as they truly are."
AA: "Have you got plans for upgrading?"
NB: "I'm still looking for my dream speaker which I haven't found yet. When and if I find it, I will upgrade the rest of the system accordingly."
