Halil Tizer is the pioneer of the Hi Fi hobby in Turkey. His search for the perfect reproduced sound started in 1950 when imports were very restricted. He was therefore forced to start with DIY projects and built home made and kit push-pull tube amplifiers. Later on, with the loosening of the imports, he switched to main stream Hi End products and since then has had approximately 100 different systems. He has been the first time introducer of most Hi End components to the Turkish audiophile circles and always brought variety to the second hand market.

He got married before the introduction of WAF definition. But Halil Tizer was a born audiophile, he reached an agreement with his wife to be, that at no time their marriage would present a restriction to his hobby. This agreement was multilaterally respected and Tizer couple continue to have a very happy married life. His imposing system sits therefore very conformably and without a trace of guilt in the middle of his main living room. Well done Mr. Tizer and thank you for all your contribution to the development of the Hi Fi hobby in Turkey.

Halil Tizer is one of the fifteen founding members of Istanbul Hi Fi Club, he listens to classical (95%) and rock / pop (5%).

AA: "Do you think there is room for improvement?"
HT: "I would wish to have more air, more inner detail, more punch and tighter bass."
AA: "Have you got plans for upgrading?"
HT: "Yes, I'm planning to switch to Single Ended amplification [congratulations!!! - AA] together with a suitable speaker."
