Hi my name is Doug from NY. I've been an audiophile since 1985. I love music, so I wanted a great system. My first system was a Sansui 8080 Receiver with ADS 1290 speakers. Back in the 80s, there were not many speaker makers and ADS to me, made the best speakers back then. After I heard the Levinson ML 3 Amp, I knew I wanted to get separates for my Amp and Preamp. I heard my first tube amp at the Stereophile show in 1990 in NY. I knew Tubes would sound great, on the midrange tweeter part of my speakers, while using a solid state Amp to power the woofers. Type of music I listen to: Euro Dance, House, 80s pop, love songs and instrumentals. I listen to 80 percent on CD and 20 percent on Records. For evaluation CD's I listen to:
Doug's comments about his System: AA: "Doug, how would you describe your system's sound?" DM: "Very natural. The components work very well with each other. It sounds very smooth and articulate" AA: "Do you think there is room for improvement?" DM: "Yes, If i hear something, that i think can improve my system." AA: "Have you got plans for upgrading?" DM: "Yes. I just replaced my XLO speaker cables with another pair of Tice 416 cables. Tice whose known for there power conditioners, makes really good speaker cables and interconnects, at really good prices." |
